I have always loved to take pictures from a very young age. I like the fact that you can freeze a moment in time with one click. As the pictures get older they just get better like a fine wine.
I have been very lucky that I have been able to travel most of the world for surfing and modeling, I never went anywhere without a still camera and or video. I have hundreds of hours of video and edit movies together to tell a story. But to take a single frame and tell a story is a real challenge.
I like to shoot people, places and sports. As a model for many years I have worked with many of the best photographers in the world and have learned many tricks and angles to capture great images.
After recently closing the door to my surf school, I have made the decision to follow my passion for photography and turn it into a career. I am moving forward quickly taking this on as I would prepare for a major sporting event.
I have the best camera I can afford and several lenses to capture things how I want. I go out and train with my equipment and experiment so when the real days come I am ready. I know when the light will be right and where I need to be to best shoot the action.
As a surfer, of course surfing is my favorite subject. But I don't stop there, I shoot windsurfing, kitesurfing and just about any action in the Hawaiian waters.
I am well aware that this is a highly competitive field but I thrive on competition and use it to push myself to work harder. I have big plans and set my goals high to be great at what I love!
